This
Meeting will be held through Electronic Participation in accordance with Bill
187, the Municipal Emergency Act, and an Order in Council of March 28, 2020,
which amended the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and prohibits
organized public events of more than five people

The City of
Ottawa continues to take COVID-19 seriously, and in following the advice of
provincial and federal governments, is making significant changes to services
and programming to help protect health and wellbeing of the community. City
Hall is temporarily closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19. In-person
Committee and Council meetings have been cancelled. Such meetings, as
warranted, will be held electronically until further notice. For more

That the Transit Commission recommends Council:
1. Authorize the closing of capital projects
listed in Document 1;

2. Approve the budget adjustments as detailed
in Document 2;

3. Permit
those projects in Document 3 that qualify for closure, to remain open; and
|
4. Approve
the return to source or (funding draw) for the following funding balances and
eliminate debt authority resulting from the closing of projects and budget
adjustments:
a) Transit Capital
Supported Reserve: $6,438,668;
b) Provincial Gas
Tax Reserve: $2,078
c) Development
Charge Reserve: $1,510,426
d) Debt Authority:
$123,719.

That the Transit Commission direct the General Manager
of Transportation Services to commence a procurement process, consistent with
the City’s procurement policy, to identify potential revenue opportunities
from advertising in stations and inside train cars on O-Train Line 1, and
that staff report the findings to the Transit Commission at the conclusion of
the process, expected to be in Q4 2020.

Members
of the public may provide submissions to the Members of Commission and Council
for this meeting, as follows:
Written
comments (encouraged): Members of the public may submit written comments by email to the Commission Coordinator,
or by calling the Commission Coordinator to have their comments transcribed. Both written and oral comments are given equal
consideration by the Commission.
The deadline for written comments is 4:00 PM
on Tuesday June 16.
Oral
comments:
Members of the public may register, by calling or emailing the Commission
Coordinator, to provide oral comments during the meeting using Zoom. They must
include their name, telephone number and email address. Registration is
required so that the Coordinator may provide Zoom meeting information to the
speaker.
The deadline to register to speak is 9:00 AM
on Wednesday, June 17.
The deadline for any
submitting visual presentations is 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 16.
Neither
a computer, nor a video sharing device, is required to participate in the
