  • Motion

    That Transit Committee recommend Council approve the following:

    1. All bus procurements in the 2026 budget be diesel or diesel-electric hybrid, depending on market availability, cost, and other operational considerations; and
    2. All bus procurements in the 2026 budget be high capacity vehicles, including exercising any available options from last year’s articulated bus procurement; and
    3. If not exercising an option from a previous procurement, options for future years be included; and
    4. Staff explore joint procurement opportunities with other transit agencies for bus orders resulting from this motion.
