Tyler Cox, Manager of Legislative Services, Office of the City Clerk and Megan Richards, Program Manager of the Accessibility Office provided a presentation and answered questions from the Committee. As well, in attendance were Meghan Acouri Program Manager, Business Support Services, and Amanda Abou-Asaf Project & Policy Coordinator of Transit Services Department.

A copy of the slide presentation is filed with the Office of the City Clerk. 

There were two delegates from the public:

  • Darryl Hackett, Director at Large, National Capital Association of the Deaf (NCAD) spoke to the Committee on various issues.
  • Kyle Humphrey spoke before the Committee and provided comments on taxis and OC Transpo.

The Advisory Committee discussed and asked questions regarding the following topics:

  • Safety issues with transit
  • Older Adult Plan
  • OC Transpo and lack of reduced fees
  • Diversity within the Accessibility Communities and how equity and inclusion lenses should be used to provide a framework
  • Key lessons from last COMAP consultations have demonstrated the need for more consultations with past initiatives will continue and new ones to work on in the following year

At the conclusion of discussions, the Committee received the update.
