    That, as set out in the 2022-2026 Mid-term Governance Review report (ACS2025-OCC-GEN-0001), approved by City Council on January 29, 2025, the Planning Advisory Committee approve the replacement Planning Advisory Committee Procedure By-law (Document 1).

Connie Gleason, Manager, Business and Technical Support Services, Royce Fu, Manager, Policy Planning, and Court Curry, Manager, Right-of-Way, Heritage and Urban Design Services, presented an overview of the item and answered questions from the Committee.  A copy of the slide presentation is filed with the Office of the City Clerk.

There were no public submissions on this item.

  • The renovation licence and relocation by-law feasibility study
  • The staff-led task force to advance housing projects and decrease application approval times
  • The development of a housing dashboard
  • The impact of the Provincial Planning Statement, 2024, on future Official Plan reviews
  • The timeline for the enactment of the New Zoning By-law
  • The Official Plan’s five big moves as objectives for the work program
  • How and why work program items are prioritized and re-prioritized
  • The New Zoning By-law consultation plan, including dedicated workshops for stakeholders
  • The alignment of Urban Design Guidelines and Urban Design Guidelines for Mid Rise Buildings with the New Zoning By-law
  • The impact of the Provincial Planning Statement, 2024, on the timing of the follow-up to the 15-Minute Neighbourhoods Baseline Report
  • How secondary plans enable appropriately-located housing
