2. Confirm the election of Member Tammy DeGiovanni as Vice-Chair for 2020, to be confirmed at the first meeting of each year of its term as required by the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

PUBLIC HEALTH MODERNIZATION – UPDATE ON OTTAWA PUBLIC HEALTH’S SUBMISSIONS IN RESPONSE TO PROVINCIAL CONSULTATIONS

That the Board of Health for the City of Ottawa Health Unit:

1. Receive this update for information; and

2. Approve that, in response to the Ontario Ministerial consultations on public health modernization, the Medical Officer of Health provide submissions that are consistent with the approach described in this report.

5	OTTAWA PUBLIC HEALTH’S PLAN TO SUPPORT OLDER ADULTS TO AGE WELL IN OUR COMMUNITY

6	OTTAWA PUBLIC HEALTH SUBMISSION TO THE GOVERNMENT OF ONTARIO ON THE HEALTHY PARKS HEALTHY PEOPLE (HPHP) CONSULTATION

	That the Board of Health for the City of Ottawa Health Unit receive the Medical Officer of Health’s submission to the Government of Ontario on the Healthy Parks Healthy People consultation and approve the recommendations contained herein.

7	OTTAWA PUBLIC HEALTH SUBMISSION TO HEALTH CANADA ON PROPOSED VAPING PRODUCTS PROMOTION REGULATIONS

	That the Board of Health for the City of Ottawa Health Unit receive the Medical Officer of Health’s submission to Health Canada on proposed vaping products promotion regulations, as outlined in Document 1, and approve the recommendations contained therein.

8	ATTENDANCE AT THE ASSOCIATION OF LOCAL PUBLIC HEALTH AGENCIES’ (ALPHA) 2020 WINTER SYMPOSIUM AND BOARD OF HEALTH SECTION MEETING
