That the Information Technology Sub-Committee receive this report for information.

 

Guy Michaud, Director, IT Services and Chief Information Officer provided a PowerPoint presentation, a copy of which is incorporated into the staff report (ACS2012-COS-ITS-0002) as Document 2.

 

The report was put to the Sub-committee and RECEIVED.

 

 

INQUIRIES

 

Chair T. Tierney submitted the following Inquiry:

Please define what is involved in the creation of an Open data dataset to display within it the number of City employees by department/division.  How soon could this be implemented?

 

Councillor M. Wilkinson submitted the following Inquiry:

“How will the City present the apps being prepared by both the Transit Commission and individuals using the City’s Open Data on the OC Transpo website? I have seen on other transit system websites links to other apps (including the cost if applicable) on a page that also has a disclaimer indicating that those apps are privately produced.  Some also have a page with instructions on how to prepare apps that are listed there.”
