That the Board of Health for the City of Ottawa Health Unit refer the following to Council, subject to the candidates providing written acceptance of offer and proof of Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada prior to August 24, 2018:

1.    That Council recommend the appointment of Dr. Sarah Funnell as Associate Medical Officer of Health to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care in accordance with the City of Ottawa Act, 1999 and the Health Protection and Promotion Act;

2.    That Council recommend the appointment of Dr. Trevor Arnason as Associate Medical Officer of Health to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care in accordance with the City of Ottawa Act, 1999 and the Health Protection and Promotion Act; and

3.    Subject to approval of recommendations 1 and 2, that Council transmit its recommendations for approval of the appointments to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care.

Chair Qadri noted that Members would have received a copy of the confidential report and he hoped everyone had a chance to read it. He asked whether members had any questions or comments on the report or its recommendations, which would necessitate moving In Camera. As Members did not have any questions or comments, the item was CARRIED on consent, eliminating the need for the Board to move In Camera.
