Recorded votes and dissents contained in the Summary Minutes are draft until the full Minutes of the meeting are confirmed by the Committee. The draft of the full Minutes (for confirmation) will be published with the agenda for the next regular Committee meeting and, once confirmed, will replace this document.

    WHEREAS the report on this item was issued separately from the agenda and published on June 5, 2025;

    THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Audit Committee approve the consideration of the report for this item at today’s meeting, pursuant to subsection 89(3) of the Procedure By-law (being by-law no. 2025-100) to allow for the timely consideration of the report and its recommendations.

    WHEREAS the Auditor General's report on Supportive Housing refers directly to the funding required from the federal and provincial governments for the City of Ottawa to operate much needed supportive housing and much needed health and social services dollars to provide wraparound support within community housing for tenant support;

    THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Audit Committee recommend that Council direct the City Clerk to send the Audit Report on Supportive Housing to the following Ministers at both the Federal and Provincial governments:

    Federal Ministries:

    •    Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada
    •    Health Canada

    Provincial Ministries:

    •    Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing 
    •    Ministry of Health
