Michèle Rochette, Manager, Municipal Elections Services and French Language Services, provided a brief overview of the work plan and timeline proposed for the French Language Services Advisory Committee. 

After some brief questions and comments for staff, the Committee carried the recommendation as outlined below. A report will be presented to the Finance and Corporate Services Committee for the meeting of Tuesday, March 5, 2024. 

  • Recommendation

    That the French Language Services Advisory Committee recommend that the Finance and Corporate Services Committee recommend that City Council approve the French Language Services Advisory Committee’s 2024-2026 work plan.

The Committee briefly discussed a suggested change to the start time for future French Language Services Advisory Committee meetings. Staff have taken Members’ feedback and will consider the feasibility of the time change. Staff will bring forward a recommendation for the next Advisory Committee meeting on May 9, 2024.
