This item is before the Board for ratification following pre-approval of the agreements in June 2023, under delegated authority by the Chair and Vice Chair.

  • That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the Memorandums of Understanding with Barrie, Belleville, Cornwall, Greater Sudbury, Kingston, London, Windsor, Waterloo, and South Simcoe Police Services (on file with the Executive Director) regarding providing assistance to the Ottawa Police Service in policing Canada Day.

  • That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the award of a construction contract in the amount of $1,110,900 (including construction contingency; net of HST) to Contractor Goldie Mohr for road modifications required at 3505 Prince of Wales Drive as part of the South Facility project.

  • That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the appointment of the OC Transpo employees listed in Document 1 as Special Constables pursuant to Section 53 of the Police Services Act, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Approval of Appointment Forms which will follow.

  • That the Ottawa Police Services Board delegate authority to the Chair and Vice-Chair to approve:

     1.     appointments in relation to any demonstrations or major events that may occur between July 24 and September 30, 2023. These appointments will be valid until September 30, 2023;

    2.      any memorandums of understanding that are required by the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) to secure resources from other police services to assist with operational response to any demonstrations/events that may arise between July 24, 2023 and September 30, 2023.

    Any exercise of this delegated authority will be reported out at the next regular meeting of the Board, to be ratified as part of the minutes.
