That the Board of Health for the
City of Ottawa Health Unit:
1. Direct the
Medical Officer of Health to prepare a budget for 2021 that reflects the
resources required to sustain the COVID-19 response and critical public
health services;
2. Direct the
Medical Officer of Health to develop recommendations to the Government of
Ontario that would seek to address systemic issues that have been brought to
light as a result of the pandemic response to date; and
3. Receive, for
information, the evaluation report and supporting documents on the “Public
health system evaluation and lessons learned from the first peak of
COVID-19”, prepared on behalf of the Council of Ontario Medical Officers of
Health (COMOH), attached as Document 1.

That the Board of Health for the
City of Ottawa Health Unit:
1. Receive the
2020 Q2 operating budget status report for information; and
2. Approve the
establishment of a new capital project for the retrofit of the Sexual Health
Center at 179 Clarence Street and new capital spending authority of $175,000,
which will be 100% provincially funded.
