Services Board approve the appointments of OC Transpo employees listed in Document
1 as Special Constables pursuant to Section 53 of the Police Services Act, in
accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the attached Approval
of Appointment forms.

Police Services Board approve the re-appointment of OC Transpo employees,
Daniel GAUTHIER and Sarah KENNEDY, as Special Constables pursuant to Section
53 of the Police Services Act, in accordance with the terms and conditions
set forth in the attached Approval of Appointment forms.

1. Approve
the 2020 Draft Operating and Capital Budgets.
2. Direct
the Executive Director to forward the Budgets to City Council for approval.

Motion
by Member D. Nirman
WHEREAS the Ottawa Police Services Board
and the Ottawa Police Service have a demonstrated commitment to promoting the
values of "diversity, equity and inclusion", and in continuing to
build a workforce that is reflective of all of the communities and neighbourhoods
it serves; and
WHEREAS Ottawa Police Service conducts
recruitment for new members not only from our community but also nationally;
and
WHEREAS it’s important for applicants from
all communities to understand that building a diverse workforce is one of our
priorities, and that the Ottawa Police Service welcomes recruits and officers
from diverse faiths and backgrounds;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ottawa
Police Services Board directs the Ottawa Police Service to ensure that all of
its recruitment strategies and advertisements, whether local or
national, affirm that that Ottawa Police Service is a progressive
employer that believes in, promotes and demonstrates the values of
"diversity, equity and inclusion" as a priority, and that it
welcomes recruits and officers from diverse faiths and backgrounds, and accommodates differences by policy and
practice, including religious symbols.
