OTTAWA POLICE GALA - FUNDRAISER IN SUPPORT OF THE SNOWSUIT FUND AND OPERATION COME HOME

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the purchase of a table at the tenth annual Ottawa Police Gala being held on November 9, 2019 at the Shaw Centre, at a cost of $1,750.

ONTARIO ASSOCIATION OF POLICE SERVICES BOARDS’ LABOUR RELATIONS SEMINAR FUNDING REQUEST

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve a $1,500 Gold sponsorship for the Ontario Association of Police Services Boards’ 2019 Labour Relations Seminar being held in Mississauga on 10 – 11 October 2019.

19 FAIRMONT LEASE EXTENSION

DECLARATION OF INTEREST

Acting Chair Smallwood made a declaration of a potential interest pertaining to Item #6 on the agenda – 19 Fairmont Lease Extension.

He indicated he has no direct financial interest in this transaction, but he does have a business relationship with the owner of the property which could be perceived by some as an indirect pecuniary interest. So for greater certainty and transparency, he vacated the Chair and left the room while this item was discussed and decided on.

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve a lease extension with Beldemer Holdings Ltd. for approximately 28,749 sq. ft. of space located at 19 Fairmont Ave for a period of 5 years commencing November1, 2019 and ending October 31, 2024.  The total consideration for the lease extension is $4,341,099 plus HST.

RE-APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL CONSTABLE:  OC TRANSPO

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the re-appointment of OC Transpo employee, Charles Andre MOMY, as Special Constable pursuant to Section 53 of the Police Services Act, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the attached Approval of Appointment form.
